It’s been a busy year in the vineyard juggling our two sites. We expanded the vineyard back in June, planting a further 3000 Cabaret Noir, Pinot Meunier and Souvignier Gris vines which have all taken well to their new home.
Excitingly, it was our first proper harvest on our new site, and we’ve got an incredible new wine on it’s way to you in the spring…so keep your eyes peeled from Easter onwards.
After a particularly challenging year, our fruit was lovely and clean but unfortunately there wasn’t that much of it! We were hoping to hold on for a few more weeks to harvest our Pinot Noir but we got hit with an early frost, so it was time to get it into the winery. Thanks to a rather wet summer, growers and farmers across the country have seen a dramatic reduction in their harvests, so if there ever was a time to support local… it’s now!
A huge thank you to our team of incredible harvesters, you all seemed to be enjoying yourselves as much as we did on our favourite days of the year. If you would like to join us, get in touch to join the harvest WhatsApp group for next year!
