Description
Elegant and refined, our Traditional Method Sparkling Rosé is crafted from fruit grown at Pen Y Clawdd, meaning “head of the bank” in Welsh. This is the site of our oldest vineyard, planted 22 years ago, where mature vines produce exceptional grapes with depth, freshness and natural concentration.
Our debut Welsh sparkling rosé is a blend of Pinot Noir and Seyval Blanc, combining structure with bright cool climate character. The grapes are delicately whole bunch pressed, and only the cuvée, the first and finest press of juice, is used in the final blend.
The wine undergoes secondary fermentation in bottle, followed by 18 months of lees ageing to build complexity, texture and finesse. The result is a beautifully balanced sparkling rosé with precision, vibrancy and a refined mousse.
On the nose, expect fresh red berries and subtle brioche notes. The palate offers wild strawberry, redcurrant and citrus lift, supported by crisp acidity and a long, elegant finish.
Crafted in the Traditional Method
Made in the same meticulous way as the world’s finest sparkling wines, this traditional method Welsh sparkling rosé showcases the ageing potential and quality now emerging from Welsh vineyards.
