We’ve wrapped up our 2025 harvest at The Dell Vineyard, and we couldn’t be happier with how it’s gone. This year has been our biggest and most successful harvest yet, with 14 tonnes of grapes picked, a huge jump on the challenging, rain-soaked 2024 season.
Thanks to a warm, dry spring and summer, the fruit came in beautifully clean with great sugar and acid balance, which is always a good sign for the wines to come. It really does feel like a turning point for us. After a tough year, seeing the vines thrive and the quality across all varieties has been incredibly rewarding.
The Dell began as a dream for us back in 2013, when we first fell in love with wine while travelling on our honeymoon. We finally planted the vineyard in 2021 on Dan’s family farmland in Monmouthshire, which has been farmed for five generations, and it’s amazing to see how far things have come in such a short time.
This year’s crop should produce around 12,000 bottles, compared to just 3,000 last year. Our Pinot Noir and Solaris vines are now well established, and with more varieties planted in 2024, we’re excited to keep growing.
2025 has also been a busy and fun year beyond the harvest. We’ve loved welcoming people to the vineyard for tours, food pop-ups and live music, and it’s been brilliant to see our wines enjoyed across Wales – from local wine merchants and delis to Michelin-starred restaurants.
We’re now looking ahead to new releases from spring 2026, including white, rosé, red and our traditional-method sparkling wine. Thanks so much for being part of the journey – we can’t wait to share what’s next.
